Made to order, on purpose
Most pieces are milled after you order them — one blank, one machine, one pair of hands. Lead time depends on the piece:
- Cutting boards and soap kits are stocked and ship in 1–2 business days.
- Card boxes ship within a week.
- Bidding boxes — singles and sets — ship in about two weeks. Up to two sets can ship together in that window; each set beyond two adds about a week. For larger club orders on an agreed schedule, start with Commissions.
Engraved pieces may add a few days. You'll get a shipping notice with tracking the day your piece leaves New Hampshire.
Shipping
Everything ships insured, in a fitted box with the care card. Free standard shipping in the United States on orders of $250 or more; $12 flat under that. If you need a piece by a date — a tournament, a wedding, a retirement — tell us at checkout in the order notes and we'll be straight with you about whether it's possible.
Returns
Unengraved pieces: 30 days, no questions — if it isn't what you hoped, send it back for a full refund. It just has to come back in the condition it arrived.
Engraved pieces are final sale. A box carrying your family's name can't go back on the shelf. That said, if we made the mistake — a typo that isn't in your order, a flaw in the work — we remake it at our cost, full stop.
Damage in transit
Photograph the box and the piece within 7 days of delivery and email contact@aventinehilldesigns.com. Everything is insured; we'll make it right without a fight.
